Saturday evening starts with an intriguing match between two sides that have impressed so far this season. Liverpool have found themselves at the heart of the title race, while Crystal Palace have had some impressive results. Both sides play entertaining football, so it is a game that may well bring neutrals into the pub for early evening food.

Formula 1: Mexican Grand Prix (Saturday, 7pm for qualifying and Sunday, 7pm for the race) - Sky Sports F1

There are occasions when the time difference to the Americas can prove a nightmare for showing sport, but for daytime sports like Formula 1, it results in events taking place at prime time for pubs. Sunday evening's race, for example, will be a great chance to bring in extra trade and bring a boost to a time that is often quiet in pubs. With only two races to go this year after this one, Lewis Hamilton cannot afford to slip up if he is to keep his title ambitions alive.

Football: Juventus v Napoli (Saturday, 7.45pm) - BT Sport 2

It may be a match that appeals for the most part to football hipsters that pine for the days of Football Italia, but this intriguing match between two of the early pacesetters in Serie A may well absorb some customers on Saturday evening.

Football: Southampton v Chelsea (Sunday, 4pm) - Sky Sports 1

The stand-out football match of the weekend sees title challengers Chelsea look to follow up their 4-0 win over Manchester United with a similarly impressive performance against a dogged Southampton side. It represents a great chance to get customers in ahead of the Formula 1 in the early evening, so is well worth promoting widely.
