The new brew will be available for the on-trade until 31 December and forms part of Sharp's commitment to delivering a new range of beers to the marketplace.
Doom Bar Reserve, an off-shoot of one of the UK's biggest selling cask ales, is brewed with a higher alcohol level of 6.0% ABV to create a more "warm" and festive flavour. It has a malty mouth feel and spicy resinous hop aroma with a dry, fruity flavour aiming to complement the malt body.
Sharp’s Brewery senior brand manager James Nicholls said: “We are delighted to launch this very special Doom Bar Reserve and we hope that people will enjoy this delicious, moreish ale over the festive period.
"Doom Bar has a big following so this exceptional limited edition Doom Bar Reserve should prove very popular – get it quick while stocks last!"
The beer follows a series of additional permanent product releases by Sharp's including 4.2% ABV red ale Rising Tide, 4.6% ABV blond ale Point Break and 4.5% ABV witbeir Sea Mist.
