Yates, the Stonegate-owned high street chain, is launching a new menu later this month (21 March).

The new food offer includes a range of new dishes including ‘Man vs Food’-style eating challenges and ‘Saintly’ dishes containing less than 650 calories.

Yates marketing manager Alex Botting said: “We’ve listened to our customers and refined our menu with their feedback in mind to make sure that our offer is as appealing to them as possible."

'New flavours'

Botting added: “We’ve updated some of our classic dishes and introduced new flavours, so we hope our loyal customers will enjoy the new additions and new ones are tempted to give us a try too.”

New burgers include the brunch burger and the challenge burger, which contains a southern-fried chicken fillet and two double cheese and bacon burgers. ‘Saintly’ options include vegetable panang and spinach & broccoli quiche.

The menu’s ‘Legendary’ section now includes a wider selection of traditional pub dishes including fish & chips, barbecue chicken melts and beef & ale pies.

Mexican section

Yates has also introduced a ‘Mexicana’ section to the menu, featuring burritos, sweet potato chilli, chicken tinga quesadilla and Mexicana chilli.

New desserts include cookie crumb profiteroles, chocolate orange torte and raspberry & white chocolate roulade.

Stonegate is a finalist in the Best Late Night Operator, Responsible Retailer, Best Managed Pub Company, Best Pub Employer (500+ sites) and Best Value Food Offer categories in this year’s Publican Awards, which take place tonight (14 March) at a special ceremony at Battersea Evolution in London.
