Innis & Gunn launches largest Beer Kitchen
The microbrewery is a first for the company’s Beer Kitchen concept and will brew beer for the venue.

Each week the seven-and-a-half hectolitre microbrewery will brew new beers that will be served fresh from the tank.
Head brewer at the Ashton Lane site Digger Robinson has been tasked with developing a range of new and interesting beers.
Special brews
So far, he has created three special brews at the microbrewery, including Ashton Pale Ale (4% ABV), Table Beer (3.5% ABV) and a Marshmallow Milk Stout (4% AB).

Retail managing director David Hall, said: “Following the success of our bars in Edinburgh, Dundee and St Andrews over the past year, we were thrilled to find the perfect location on Ashton Lane to expand our retail offering with our biggest venue yet.
“We are excited to be able to offer different food and drink experiences over three floors and brew new beers onsite, which will be exclusive to Ashton Lane.”

The new site has the capacity to hold 396 customers, has 17 keg taps, three cask taps and more than 50 packaged craft beers – providing one of the largest craft beer selections in Glasgow.
Drink cocktails
On the first floor customers will be able to sample brews from the microbrewery, on the second they can dine and on the third – the Attic Bar – they will be able to drink cocktails.
Visitors at the official launch of the site on Saturday 15 April will be able to have their portraits painted using beer.

Ahead of the event, the artist painting the portraits – Lynn Howarth – has painted pictures of Scottish and English celebrities including Peter Capaldi, Sean Connery, Irvine Welsh, Adele, Ed Sheeran and Groundskeeper Willie from The Simpsons.
