A former winner in The Great British Pub Awards released a premium gin that is now available in more than 300 venues across the UK.

Quick Gin is produced by the team behind Spoken, the winner of GBPA’s Best Spirits Bar in 2016, and is designed to be a premium and efficient product for pubs and bars looking to upsell in the spirits category.

The gin was launched in May of this year and now has distribution in more than 300 venues nationally.

Numerous botanicals

Quick Gin is distilled to an ABV of 40.5% and infused with botanicals including juniper berries, coriander seeds, orange peel, angelica root, cassia bark, orris root powder, lemon peel, liquorice root powder, nutmeg and cinnamon.

It can be used in a number of cocktails or served with Fever-Tree tonic and a slice of orange.

Premium, mainstream product

Speaking about the product, Spoken’s George Nightingale said: “Quick gin has been born to be a premium, mainstream product that goes against the plethora of craft, small-batch gins.

"Quality doesn’t have to be expensive and in the market, which is getting expensive, people on the ground are starting to say ‘so what?’ to hand-picked juniper berries, etc.

“The bottle is a knock-out and does the selling for the venue on its own. The name is modern and fits in to sit alongside sloe gin and bartenders will always hear customers say 'shall we have a quick gin?' – now they can serve one.

"It’s cheesy, but it works in the real world. The signature serve is with a slice of orange – a simple serve that doesn’t cost a venue extra money.”

Quick Gin retails at £19 plus VAT.
