Twisted Bar is to invest £250,000 to open the Ticket Office Bar in the Ilkley, West Yorkshire, railway station building.

This is a second site for the operator that first opened Guiseley Bar ‘Everybodys’ in March 2016.

The operator revealed this is part of an expansion strategy that will see it open a further eight sites in Yorkshire within the next eight to nine years.

The new 3,000sq ft venue will offer high-end cocktails and drinks.

It is set to open in autumn/winter 2017 and will create around 25 new jobs.

The leased site has had many previous incarnations, including the ‘The Green Frog’ restaurant, which was well-loved during the 1980s.

“I have lived in and around Ilkley all my life and am aware of the fantastic food offerings available in the town but have watched the bar scene virtually disappear. My vision behind the venue is to offer a premium drinks led experience for those who appreciate the superior products you would only usually find in a city-centre venue,” said Twisted Bars managing director Adam Lewis.

“There are a number of eating venues in Ilkley, however, the amount of mainly drinking establishments does not necessarily correspond. Ticket Office Bar will be largely drinks focused with a small food offering to complement. There will be a minimum-age policy, and it will deliver classic cocktails with a twist, focusing on the drinks and experience side of hospitality.”

Twisted Bars is run by Adam Lewis and Paul Glendinning.
