Festive facelift: Slug and Lettuce Beckenham will re-open it's doors after a £250,000 revamp

A re-vamped Slug and Lettuce in Beckenham, south-east London, will open on Friday 3 November after an extensive, £250,000 renovation that is expected to create 10 new jobs across front-of-house positions.

Closed since the 16 October, the Beckenham High Street venue will benefit from extra seating, a larger bar, and four bespoke cocktail bars, increasing capacity to 263 as part of a contemporary makeover in time for a busy festive period. A cocktail masterclass station has also been added in the hope of attracting larger groups and parties.

Justine Stenhouse, general manager at the Beckenham Slug & Lettuce, said: “We are thrilled to relaunch with a fresh new look. We have fantastic Christmas packages this year and have already had plenty of enquires, so we are proud to show off our stylish refurb ahead of the busy holiday period”.

The venue will hold a VIP party on 10 November to mark the opening including complimentary gift bags and Prosecco from 5pm onwards.

The Christmas packages launched by the Slug & Lettuce to coincide with the revamp include set two or three-course Christmas menus, a Christmas Cocktail School and a variety of holiday drinks packages designed to help parties of all sizes and budgets get into the spirit.

The Beckenham Slug and Lettuce’s opening hours are Monday – Wednesday: 11am – 11pm, Thursday – Saturday: 11am – midnight, and Sunday: 12pm – 10:30pm.
