The winner of the Great British Pub Awards for Best Sports Pub 2016 and 2017 – the Famous Three Kings – will host a live Six Nations rugby broadcast on 7 February.

The Six Nations-themed episode of 'The Rugby Pod' – featuring former internationals Jim Hamilton and Andy Goode, of Scotland and England respectively – will be broadcast live from the pub in Fulham, west London, in the build-up to England’s weekend fixture against Wales at Twickenham on 10 February – their second of the 2018 Six Nations.

Goode scored 107 points in 17 appearances for England – making his debut in 2005 as a replacement for Charlie Hodgson in a Six Nations match against Italy while former Scotland international, Hamilton, played 63 times for his country after becoming the 1,000th man to be capped for the Scottish national side.

Some 300 tickets for the event are being sold on Eventbrite, with attending fans invited to contribute their own predictions ahead of the weekend’s clash between two of the tournament’s early favourites.

The live event will be supported by Guinness, which will supply a free pint with every ticket sold. Guinness agreed to extend its 40-year association with English rugby union in November by four more years.

The pub’s doors will open at 6.30pm with the podcast getting under way at 7pm.

Tickets are available via Eventbrite, or those who are unable to attend can tune in via the free to download app ‘The Rugby Pod’.

The event at the Famous Three Kings is set to be the second in a series of three live podcasts across the UK, with a similar event taking place on 24 January in Newcastle’s Lonsdale pub, and another being broadcast from Edinburgh’s Three Sisters on 21 February.
