A couple have reopened a Lancashire pub with the help of pubco Admiral Taverns.

The Park at Great Harwood reopened its doors last week after experienced licensees Craig and Darina Currie took the pub on and worked closely with pub company Admiral to give the venue's exterior and interior a complete refurbishment, creating 'a completely new fresh and inviting environment'.

Customers are able to choose from a new and extensive wine list in partnership with a local wine supplier, as well as a broad range of cask and real ales, gins and a select cocktail menu.

Locals have been enjoying fresh and seasonal food from regional suppliers off the menu since last Friday (9 February).

So much potential

Licensees Craig and Darina Currie said: “The Park is in a fantastic location with so much potential. Through the refurbishment, we wanted to give the pub the sparkling new look it deserves, offering its loyal locals a warm and welcoming environment, delicious food and an impressive range of drinks.

"Whether it’s a big sports match, quiz night, a charity fundraising evening, or just a quiet drink with friends, the Park will offer something for everyone and we can’t wait to welcome back our regulars, and hopefully some new faces following the reopening.”

Admiral business development manager for the area John York added: “On behalf of Admiral, I would like to congratulate Craig and Darina on the transformation at the Park. They have a strong vision for the pub and are determined to turn it into a real asset for the local community, one which people will be proud to come back to time and time again and bring their friends.”
