Pernod Ricard UK opens the Loft

On top: Pernod Ricard UK's new Manchester venue, the Loft, is it's first and only outside of London.

Wines and spirits company Pernod Ricard UK launched new multipurpose events space, the Loft, on 28 February at a historic site on Quay Street, Manchester, that was formerly a Walkabout bar.

The 6,000sq ft event space is available for private hire and has a capacity of 150 people and is Pernod Ricard UK’s first and only venue outside of London.

The Loft will also host regular educational evenings for local bartenders, allowing them to use the space to experiment and learn from their peers, while a dedicated event manager will be on hand to help deliver bespoke occasions.

The venue will also offer guests the chance to explore Pernod Ricard’s drinks portfolio, including brands such as Chivas, Absolut, Jameson, Perrier-Jouet, Malibu and other Pernod Ricard brands, 19 of which are included in the top 100 worldwide.

The Loft will open to consumers with a public ticketed event ‘The Blend by Chivas Regal’. After its huge success in London, the concept will be brought to Manchester and will take place in the Loft.

Pernod Ricard UK managing director Laurent Pillet said: “This is a city full of culture and innovation, so it made perfect sense that we should create a space here.

“Located in the very heart of the city, this long-term project will boast a private experiential venue, and areas to work, meet and relax.”
