Moving forward: the new flavours tap into the "innovative" soft drinks trend
Soft drinks producer Belvoir Fruit Farms has announced it will be launching four new products across the on and off-trade this month (March).

The new drinks will be an extension of its Pressé range to include Pink Grapefruit; Rhubarb & Apple; Botanical Juniper & Tonic; and Light Ginger Beer.

The variants are inspired by the growing consumer demand for “innovative” soft drinks because one in five adults claim to be teetotal and two in three are reducing their alcohol intake.

Botanical Juniper & Tonic could be used as an alternative to a classic gin and tonic, and Belvoir said its range of botanicals and spices delivers a “grown up taste”, reflecting the latest foodie trends.

Belvoir Fruit Farms managing director Pev Manners said: “Flavours abound across the whole Belvoir range, but these new products alone feature rhubarb, grapefruit, juniper, lemon thyme and cardamom, some of the biggest trending flavours currently, and ensure the brand remains highly relevant in today’s soft drinks market and within consumer taste profiles.”

Pink Grapefruit

Fragrant and zingy blend of pink grapefruit, lemon and orange juices providing a grown-up twist with an aromatic hint of botanical lemon thyme.

The drink contains a balance of sweet and tart sourness. Serving suggestion is over ice.

Rhubarb & Apple Pressé (contains no added sugar)

A hint of the herb, cardamom adds a spicy touch to a classic combination of tart rhubarb juice and sweet apple. Also best served over ice.

Botanical Juniper & Tonic

A blend of juniper and elderflower to create this botanical tonic drink. The addition of quinine adds a sharp, bitter edge.

Light Ginger Beer

Adding to its existing range of ‘Light’ Pressés, the latest variant is Light Ginger Beer. It contains fresh root ginger and lemon juice but contains 30% less sugar than its original recipe.

The flavour is sweet, fresh citrus ginger with a kick of chilli. It can be served as an alternative to alcohol or as a mixer with vodka or whisky.

The Light Ginger Beer joins the others in the ‘Light’ range, which includes:

Elderflower Pressé Light

Elderflower & Rose Pressé Light

Raspberry Lemonade Light

Orange & Mandarin Pressé Light
