Founder of Luminar declared bankrupt
Luminar founder, Steve Thomas, has been declared bankrupt, MCA understands.
HMRC filed a petition against Thomas last year with the bankruptcy order going through in February 2018.
Thomas, 65, founded Luminar, now trading as Deltic, in 1989 and built the nightclub business into a 300-strong estate at its height.
After selling Luminar in 2012, Thomas set up another late night-focused business in No Saints, which went into liquidation in 2016.
More recently he sat on the board of Unique Hospitality, the parent company of Epic Pubs and Heroic Pubs, but Companies House documents show he stepped down in July of last year.
