Mentor Inns has put nine sites across the south and south east on the market.

The portfolio is being marketed, through Christie & Co, with offers sought in excess of £3.8m, and opportunities to purchase sub groups or individual assets.

The pubs include four sites in Devon Claytons & The Glasshouse in Barnstaple, The Arcade in Exeter, The Quarryman’s Rest in Bampton and the White Hart in North Tawton, as well as the First & Last in Herne Common, Kent; The Fox Inn in Ellisfield, Hampshire; The Lounge in Trowbridge, Wiltshire; The Rusty Axe in Stembridge, Somerset and The Wheatsheaf in Drayton, Oxfordshire.

It leaves Mentor Inns with three remaining sites.

Neil Morgan, managing director – pubs & restaurants at Christie & Co, said: “The Mentor Inns group is a fantastic opportunity at a perfect time, as the UK licensed sector is seeing excellent value growth, which is fuelling considerable appetite for desirable assets.

“The high level of quality, sought-after locations and attractive investment potential of these pubs means that we are sure to see interest from a range of prospective investor buyers.”

Mentor Inns is run by former co-owner of Jongleurs John Davy (CEO), and MD Paul Mahon.
