Star Pubs & Bars treated some of its top female licensees to a spa day as a reward for their hard work in a historically male-dominated industry.

Women who manage Star pubs based in the Midlands and East Anglia were praised for the passion they bring to the job and their outstanding pubs.

The day included relaxing spa treatments followed by a dinner to celebrate, hosted at the Moor Hotel & Spa in Sutton Coldfield, Birmingham.

Star Pubs & Bars business development manager Jacqueline Frow said: “It was great to offer something different to the usual golfing or sports events, and to give these fantastic female operators some real pampering as they are always looking after others.

“The idea for the day came from my regional operations director, Paul Linton.

Celebrating achievements

She added: “The ladies enjoyed treatments, a sumptuous lunch, and a relaxing dinner at the end of the day to toast their achievements.

“Endless stories and laughter were shared.

“It was a great success so will be something we do again.”

Licensees in attendance were from pubs across the regions, including those in Alcester, Birmingham, Erdington, Studley and Worcester.
