Back by popular demand for a third year, the Chefs’ Choice Awards are returning to set the ingredients kitchen that staff treasure apart from the rest.

The annual scheme rewards high-quality products and innovation in the foodservice sector and is now open for entries.

Created by four William Reed food and drink brands – The Grocer, Restaurant, Food Manufacture and The Morning Advertiser – the Chefs’ Choice Awards have been designed to highlight the best mid-market foodservice products around.

Re-energise sales

“Winning one of these awards is proven to re-energise sales of existing products and deliver enhanced market visibility to new lines,” said event director Sonia Young.

“Entrants will also have the opportunity to get products recognised and profiled in William Reed market-leading titles.”

Supported by Food Innovation Solutions and Good Sense Research, the awards also help to increase the visibility of foodservice products, as well as encourage customers to try products.

Winners and entrants that achieve the status of ‘Highly Rated’ or ‘Finalist’ in the independent awards that focus on taste, quality, nutrition and value, can use the awards’ logos on packaging to help boost a product’s prominence on the shelf.

The foodservice sector

Chefs’ Choice Awards are open for entry to companies that create and supply frozen, fresh, chilled or ambient products to the foodservice sector.

There are 26 categories open for entry this year, including two new categories, which are vegan/plant-based and chocolate.
