Prosecco prawn cocktails to pigs-in-blanket pizza on JDW Xmas menu

To get into the festive swing of things, popular pub chain JD Wetherspoon is dishing up its new menu offering consumers class Christmas dishes alongside some more unusual options. 

The wide-ranging menu includes everything from a Prosecco prawn cocktail to a pizza topped with festive-favourite pigs in blankets.

Also on offer is a traditional full turkey dinner, including a breast slice filled with sage and onion stuffing, served with roasted Chantenay carrots and parsnips, Maris Piper mash, pigs in blankets, peas, cranberry sauce and gravy.

But if you would rather something a bit more exclusive, the Christmas dishes with a twist look certain to make your mouth water.

To start, diners can try a boozy version of a 1970s classic prawn cocktail, which comes with king prawns in a Marie Rose and Prosecco sauce.

And if that doesn’t whet your appetite, you can even try festive-favourite pigs in blankets topped on pizza.

There is also a creamy mushroom risotto suitable for vegetarians. And, not forgetting the kids, the menu also includes pigs in blanket and mash meal just for the little ones.

If you are still hungry after all that, the pub chain is also offering a Baileys chocolate bread and butter pudding, plus a ‘melty mallow snack’ to finish your meal off.

The festive-themed menu will be available in all Wetherspoon pub chains across the UK until 24 December.
