Punchy Drinks, which launched the world’s first 4% and 0% ABV rum punch, is now releasing its dry Tequila punch range – also available in 4% and 0% ABV strengths – in a bid to meet consumer demand.
Punchy’s founder Paddy Cavanagh-Butler explained the new flavour offers freedom of choice for those wanting to abstain from alcohol or switch between the two.
“We’re breathing new life into a classic while making sure everyone has the freedom to choose and still be involved whether they drink or don’t,” he added.
“Taking summer flavours that work together and pushing them that bit further with some extra spice, we think we have got something really exciting.”
In 2018, Tequila led the spirits category in volume and value growth across the US and Cavanagh-Butler concluded that the new flavour sets out to beat the trend coming to the UK.
Both the non-alcoholic and alcoholic variations, which are low-sugar, gluten-free and vegan-friendly, will be available in outlets such as Ocado, Farmdrop and Fortnum & Mason as well as a variety of pubs and bars in London from summer time.
