Sharp’s Brewery is releasing a seasonal ale to its limited-edition cask series.

Following the successful release of red ale Rising Tide, the Cornwall-based brewery is releasing Manu Bay (4% ABV), brewed with experimental hops, said to be “perfect for the summer months”.

Sharp’s senior brand manager James Nicholls said the ale puts a twist on traditional recipes and harnesses the creativity of the brand’s brewing team.

“For our 25th anniversary, we wanted to revisit some of our most popular seasonal beers and harness the creativity of our young, dynamic brewing team,” Nicholls explained.

“This ale was brewed by our head brewer Andrew Madden, as a tribute to his time spent in New Zealand developing his brewing skills.”

Nicholls concluded that the new brew is full of vibrant citrus flavours to complement lighter summer meals.

The golden ale will be available at on-trade locations nationally from 1 May thought to the end of June.
