Ei Managed Investments joint venture the Old Spot Pub Company has taken on a new site in Uxbridge, increasing its portfolio of pubs to 10 venues.

The group also plans to schedule two further pub openings early next year, meaning it will have a total of 12 sites.

The new venue is the Crown & Treaty, which has a new conservatory to be used as a private dining area.

The pub will offer a selection of seasonal craft beers and three local ales, all from breweries within 20 miles of the venue, accompanied by a range of gins, cocktails and alcohol-free options. It will also host regular tap takeovers from local breweries starting with Windsor and Eton.

Food offer

Its food offer will contain traditional pub classics with a modern twist including a number of small plates such as smashed avocado; bruschetta; and black pudding Scotch eggs as well as sharing dishes such as half-metre stone-baked pizzas.

Old Spot Company director Dave Ford said: “Old Spot pubs are welcoming places designed with the local community in mind.

“We are delighted to be adding the Crown & Treat to our portfolio – it’s a pub with an incredibly rich heritage that has served the immediate community for centuries.

“We’ve placed great effort and attention to detail in lovingly restoring the site and we are immensely excited to launch the hidden garden area, complete with a new bar room over the coming weeks.

“We firmly believe pubs should be warm, community-centric spaces that people visit with family, friends and loved ones to enjoy memorable moments.”

Shared focus

Ei Managed Investments operations director Nathan Wall lauded the benefits of joining forces with the multiple operator.

He added: “It has been an incredibly positive experience, working alongside Dave Ford, Bernard O’Neil and the team at Old Spot Pub Company.

“They share our focus for identifying the right proposition for each pub and establishing an offer that best serves their immediate communities.

“We look forward to expanding the company’s portfolio even further in the new year.”
