St Austell appoints Andrew Turner to new MD role
Turner will oversee St Austell’s beer and wholesale drinks operation, moving to the Cornish company from his present role as trading director at Heineken.
He said he was looking forward to working with the brewery and leading it to its next stage of growth.
Turner said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining St Austell Brewery – a wonderful family business that brews fantastic beers and runs great pubs, both of which are very close to my heart.
“It’s a really exciting time to join the business. St Austell Brewery is very well placed to benefit from the resurgence in consumer interest in beer, coupled with the increasing importance of authenticity and community.
“I am very much looking forward to joining Kevin and the team and taking the business on to its next stage of growth.”

Chief executive Kevin Georgel said he was delighted Turner would be joining the company.
He said: “With almost 20 years’ experience and success gained within Heineken UK, he brings the ideal experience, talents and personality to complement the skills of the existing team, and to lead our beer and brands division into its next exciting chapter.”
Georgel joined the company this year, succeeding former chief executive James Staughton, who left the company last month after leading it for four decades.
The brewery also took on Fuller’s head brewer Georgina Young last year, appointing her to head Bath Ales.
Staughton said he expected the pub company would reach 200 sites within the next few years, in an exit interview with The Morning Advertiser.
