Swedish drinks supplier Kopparberg has announced a new flavour to its gin portfolio – Passionfruit & Orange – which will be available this month (12 March).

The new gin, which is bottled at 37.5% ABV aims to offer an alternative to pink gin and is infused with passion fruit and orange.

Available in a 700ml bottle priced at £20, the new variant is said to be best served over ice with a tonic or lemonade mixer with a slice of orange garnish.

Replicate success

Kopparberg head of marketing Rob Salvesen said: “Off the back of the Kopparberg Strawberry & Lime launch last year, we are looking to, once again, replicate this success into the summer of 2020 with the launch of our new Passionfruit & Orange variant.

“Listening to our consumers and spotting trends is key to Kopparberg’s success and the growing trend for citrus and orange-flavoured drinks is what has inspired this launch.

“The gin market is continuing to grow and this new flavour delivers a bold and refreshing taste, offering gin drinkers even more variety within the Kopparberg gin portfolio.”

Kopparberg unveiled its strawberry and lime flavour Premium Gin, which is bottled at 37.5% ABV.

Fellow flavour

The gin launched exclusively in more than 700 Greene King pubs across the UK in May last year before being available to buy at selected retailers.

Kopparberg Premium Gin has been doubled distilled over a two-week period in a bid to deliver a bold and balanced London dry-style gin, infused with the same strawberry and lime flavour that made Kopparberg famous, and combines this flavour with juniper, lemon zest and coriander botanicals.

This was followed by the launch of its Mixed Fruit flavour gin, infused with the same botanicals of juniper, lemon zest and coriander with the raspberry and blackcurrant flavours in a bid to create a refreshingly light drink.
