Great British Pub Awards on social media
While publicans nominated for the Great British Pub Awards would usually enjoy celebrating together at a ceremony, the awards were screened into pubs across the country and streamed on social media.
Awards honoured publicans' work in feeding their communities, helping staff cope with furlough and ensuring continuity for their businesses.
Thousands of people tuned in to watch the show on Facebook, Youtube or at their local.
Here’s what people in the sector were saying on social media as they watched the awards show presented by Stephen Mulhern.
Well done to all of our #PubAwards 2020 winners, nominees, and entrants! It's been an exceptionally tough year for everybody in the industry, but we hope tonight has really highlighted the positives that have come out of this year! You're all Pub Heroes!

Congratulations to all our winners, and I know it's heartbreaking for our finalists, but you are all such a credit to this industry regardless, and I'm in awe of all you've achieved and proud to be part of such a great industry. #pubawards

Congratulations to everyone at The Fountain in Aberfeldy and their amazing Feldy-roo initiative which saw 40,000 free meals delivered across their community during lockdown - what an inspiration! https://t.co/mrXIHTxooV
