Top 50 Gastropubs 2021 revealed tonight at 7pm
In a Top 50 Gastropubs first, this year the organisation has highlighted 100 pubs to showcase the outstanding businesses in the sector.
Each year the Top 50 list and awards are revealed to a small group of owners and chefs, but this year in another Top 50 first, the event will be streamed to the world.
Special takeaways
In celebration, more than half the list has also offered special takeaway menus including dishes designed by last year's Top 50 Gastropubs Chef of the Year Sally Abé, formally of the Harwood Arms.
Top 50 Gastropubs editor Nicholas Robinson said: "We have released a 100 list for the first time because we know there are hundreds of outstanding pubs out there that deserve to be recognised.
"Where you place on this list does not matter, it's about being recognised as this is all voted for by hundreds of food experts, critics, writers, chefs and other industry experts. It is a phenomenal achievement.
"I'd also like to say that every pub in the UK that is ready to open its doors after the worst 12 months in living history is a winner. You are all winners to me and the team at Top 50 Gastropubs and The Morning Advertiser."
Tonight we will also be revealing the winners of our specialist awards sponsored by Yorkshire Tea, Pernod Ricard and Bibendum.
Special awards
These special awards are Newcomer of the Year, Front of House Team of the Year, One to Watch, Highest Climber and Highest New Entry.
The winner of the newly launched Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs Foodies' Favourite Award was announced this week on social media, with the award going to the deserved Miller of Mansfield.
The Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs, along with all of the event's sponsors, would like to congratulate every pub on this year's Top 100 list.
