Entries open for Publican Awards 2022
The event will see the first gathering of the great and the good from across the sector since 2020, with last year’s event forced to go virtual in the wake of the coronavirus pandemic, but the awards will continue to shine a spotlight on the best operations in the trade.
Pub companies from across the UK are now being invited to get their entries across for one of the toughest competitions in the trade, which will see their businesses given a thorough overhaul by expert judges across a number of stages.
Most rigorous trade contest
The Publican Awards have been running for more than two decades and it is the most rigorous competition in the trade, assessing companies across a range of criteria and singling out the best of the best across a range of categories.
Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser, which runs the awards, said: “We’re delighted to be inviting pub companies and bar operations from across the sector to get their entries in for the 2022 awards.
“The whole industry feels like it’s been in stasis for the past couple of years, yet, there has been some superb work going on and these awards will be the opportunity to celebrate that work, and this time in person.”

“I’d urge everyone in the sector to enter the competition - it’s a great experience to go through, gives you some real insight into your business and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to take home a much-prized trophy at the end,” said Bedington.
“To win a Publican Award, after all the hardships and challenges of the past year or two, will be a fitting way to celebrate the successes of your business and the hard work and resilience of your teams.
