Coyote Ugly is bringing its ‘high-octane style of hospitality’ to London for the first time with the opening of a site in Camden.

Located in Camden Market, the 5,000 sq ft bar is expected to open later this summer and will join existing Coyote Ugly sites in Liverpool, Birmingham, Cardiff and Swansea.

Popular with stag and hen parties, the brand offers an affordable menu centred around burgers, pizzas and wings.

Perfect fit

Steve Lewis, the chairman of the Breaking Brands group which owns the UK franchise rights to Coyote Ugly, is planning to open further sites under the brand both in and outside the capital.

“The history of rock and roll in Camden is a perfect fit for Coyote Ugly. With the success of our other bars in the UK, we know Camden is an ideal location and it’s hugely exciting to have signed the deal,” he says.

Place to party

“The dynamic of Coyote Ugly fits well with this location and is what London needs and once open will become the place to party in the capital.”

Founded in New York City in 1993, Coyote Ugly rose to fame in 2000 following the release of the multimillion-dollar eponymous film, which was inspired by bartenders’ experiences at the original site. There are now a total of 20 sites worldwide.

“Securing the London debut flagship site for Coyote Ugly Saloon showcases the renowned character of Camden Market, and only strengthens our position as an iconic destination with genuine local and international appeal,” says Maggie Milosavljevic, commercial director at the development's owner LabTech.
