2022 Great British Pub Awards takes place today

This year’s ceremony is being held in the inspiring city of Manchester at the vibrant escape to Freight Island.
Multi-award-winning comedian, actor, author, scriptwriter and presenter Russell Kane will be hosting the event, which has been a sell-out.

- Best Pub Garden
- Best Pub to Watch Sport
- Stonegate Pub of the Year
- Admiral Pub of the Year
- Punch Pub of the Year
- Marston’s Pub of the Year
- Greene King Pub of the Year
There will also be an exclusive pre-awards show, starting at 6.30pm for everyone to watch, featuring all the action live from Escape to Freight Island, special guest appearances, highlights of the festival and even an interactive pub quiz.

Award categories
This year’s awards will also be available on a TV-quality livestream for all to tune in to through The Morning Advertiser’s Facebook page, YouTube channel and here.
Categories include Best Pub for Dogs, Best Pub for Entertainment, Best Pub for Sport and more.
There were also three new categories this year – Best Sustainable Pub, Best Country/Rural Pub and Best City/Urban Pub.
Known as the Oscars of the pub industry, the competition has been running for almost three decades and recognises excellence across the sector, revealing the winner of each category and resulting in one pub being crowned the Great British Pub of the Year.
