Bathtub Gin has announced the release of its latest variant, Rose & Cardamom (43% ABV), the first launch in its seasonal limited-edition collection, which will see three products released throughout the year, each reflecting a flavour profile of the season at the time of issue

This new expression offers notes of juniper with candied lemons and Turkish delight on the nose with rose and cardamom flavours, reminiscent of falooda and kulfi, on the palate alongside a lingering rosewater and crisp juniper finish.

Bathtub Gin brand manager Hannah Burden-Teh said: “We are finding the modern drinker is looking for bold new flavours and to update their drinks repertoire with unique pairings when considering their next sip an ethos held close to the Bathtub Gin heart.

“This latest offering is a celebration of Spring: with a sweet floral bouquet and herbal warmth.”

“For the first in our limited-edition collection we wanted to create a distinctively rose-y gin that could then be elevated with cardamom, already one of the botanicals found in our cold compounding recipe and something that expertly bridges juniper and rose.”

To create the new serve, the award-winning brand takes its original cold compounded ‘double Infused’ recipe and adds natural steam-distilled rose petal water with the cardamom introduced from a made separately cold-compounded tincture, precisely controlling the concentration.

Bathtub Gin Rose & Cardamom is availble in 70cl bottle format now from Master of Malt Trade at RRP £36.95.

Salcombe Brewery Co has expanded its portfolio with the release of new Saison Spiced Farmhouse Ale (5.5% ABV).

A farmhouse ale brewed with added peppercorns, coriander seed and orange peel, the new serve is a floral and spicy ale with notes of honey and citrus alongside a crisp, dry finish that pairs well with roast pheasant, duck or chicken.

Salcombe head brewer Sam Beaman said: “We are delighted to be launching the fourth and final ale in our new small batch range.

“Saison style ales originated in the farmhouses of Wallonia, the French-speaking region of Belgium.

“Traditionally they are low alcohol, light bodied, and highly carbonated. We have created our Saison using a farmhouse yeast strain and have added a selection of spices to make it our own.

"The result is a highly drinkable, warming ale, perfect for the winter season.”

Salcombe Saison Spiced Farmhouse Ale is availble to the on-trade now in 9g casks direct from the brewery and will be available from late January at RRP £25 for 12x330ml cans.

To support the launch, the brand has also developed a range of assets to accompany the new product launch, from font and tap handles to glassware, POS and staff t-shirts.

BrewDog head of customer marketing Alex Dullard said: “We believe drinking beer is about discovery and experimentation, with a mountain of different types and styles available.

“However, when it comes to stout, there really is only one choice available in most pubs and bars and has been for many years.

“As the experts in taste and quality, we have worked with our brewers to develop a classic draught stout, brewed in and for this century, that can be offered to those looking to try something new.”
