Now in its third consecutive year, Top 50 Boutique Hotels is again looking for voters to join the illustrious academy that helps choose the lists each year.

Top 50 Boutique Hotels follows on from the success of its sister brands, Top 50 Cocktail Bars and the hugely popular Top 50 Gastropubs. All three lists celebrate excellence across their sectors, and, together, offer consumers a collection of the best places to eat, drink and sleep.

Launching in 2021, the list has already seen the top spot taken by the likes of The Newt in Bruton, Somerset, and current reigning champion, Lime Wood in Lyndhurst, Hampshire.

The list, organised by The Morning Advertiser (MA), aims to showcase the best luxury accommodation in the UK, which it certainly has with listees such as 2022’s Highest New Entry, Lympstone Manor in Exmouth, Devon, owned by esteemed Michelin-starred chef Michael Caines.

The hunt begins

But who will make it in 2023? As the list moves into its third year, The MA is once more kick-starting the hunt for this year’s top 50 – starting with recruiting voters for the academy.

The lists are created by collecting votes from an academy of hundreds of industry experts who put forward four hotels, gastropubs or cocktail bars within the UK they deem worthy of a top 50 accolade. The academy is split evenly across the UK to ensure no regional bias, each voter must include at least one operator within their geographical region.

Exceptional stays

Stretching across the UK, the Boutique Hotels list provides travellers with exceptional stays up and down England, Scotland and Wales. The current list ranges from Grade II-listed manor houses to country pubs with boutique rooms, there’s something for everyone. Each hotel on the list has been handpicked by our academy and has outstanding service, beautiful design and unique experiences – this really is the industry’s choice.

The Top 50 team is now looking for hoteliers, UK travel writers, operators with rooms, bloggers, designers and hotel enthusiasts to put their names forward to help create the 2023 list. If you are interested in taking part, please email puneyv.gbzarl@jeoz.pbz with a brief outline on why you would be suitable. Votes will be collected in September for the announcement at the awards ceremony in November.
