2023 Drinks Sustainability Awards winners announced
The awards, which are run by sustainability business Footprint, celebrated the steps drinks companies had made in having a positive impact on the environment.
The ceremony was held at the Royal Institute of Architects in Portland Place, central London.
Asahi UK won the Stakeholder Engagement Award 2023, while All Bar One won the C&C Group-On-Trade Operator of the Year Award.
Budweiser Brewing Group won the Social Impact Award 2023, and Avallen Spirits took home the C&C Group On-Trade Supplier of the Year Award.
Footprint founder Charles Miers said the Drinks Sustainability Awards event demonstrated the resilience of the UK drinks industry and how the sector has risen to the challenge of making their practices more sustainable.
Celebrating innovation
He added: “With the pressures of inflation, cost-of-living challenges, increased alcohol tax and mounting pressure on the industry, it is great to be able to recognise and celebrate the innovative ways in which businesses of all sizes adopting sustainable ways of operating despite the challenges they face.
“The key thing all the winners have in common is a desire to do the right thing when it comes to the sustainability of the environment in which they operate and we were extremely proud to recognise their efforts at last night’s award ceremony. Congratulations again to all the very deserving winners.”
Now in its fifth year, the annual awards are open to drinks businesses, suppliers and stakeholders of all sizes operating in the hospitality and out of home area.
