St Austell Brewery has revealed its new music-themed seasonal beer line-up for 2024.

The first of this year’s specials to be released, Sufin’ USA, will be available in select pubs from Friday 1 March.

Summer Sun, Thunder Struck and Step Into Christmas will be the next brews in the line-up to be released.

A tropical session IPA, Surfin’ USA boasts punchy American hops, Citra, Simcoe and Mosaic, while Summer Sun is a pale golden beer with floral and citrus hops notes.

Great-tasting cask beers

Next up is Thunderstruck, a full and rich English ale, followed by the brewers Christmas special, Step into Christmas, a flavoursome stout to round off the year, brewed by the St Austell Brewery brewing apprentices.

Each beer will also feature its own Spotify playlist, which customers can listen to by scanning a QR code on the pump clip.

In addition, two of the beers will support coastal charities, with 5p from every pint of Surfin’ USA donated to St Austell’s charity partner, the Marine Conservation Trust, while 5p from every pint of Summer Sun will go towards the RNLI.

St Austell Brewery brewing director Georgina Young said: “Our seasonals are a way for us to offer new, great-tasting cask beers for our wholesale customers across the UK, while having a bit of fun with the concept behind them.

Iconic songs

“This time we’ve named the beers after iconic songs and created a playlist for each one that pub goers can keep on listening to long after last orders.

“We have a juicy session IPA for the spring, a fruity summer blonde ale, a warming autumnal premium ale, and a full-bodied stout as we step into the Christmas season.”

Surfin’ USA, the first beer in the line-up, will be available in select pubs across the UK from Friday 1 March.
