Following the success of its alcohol-free beer Green Mountain in 2018, the independent Bakewell-based brewery last week announced it had released Jaipur alcohol-free.
Thornbridge co-founder and CEO Simon Webster told The Morning Advertiser (The MA): “We have been developing the idea of Jaipur alcohol-free for a while now and we are really pleased with the results.
“We had planned to look at a January launch but thought that it would be great to bring out before - Christmas coming early for Thornbridge fans.”
Overwhelming success
The beer is currently available in 330ml bottle format from the Thornbridge webshop and will soon be made available to pubs in 30 litre kegs.
It will replace the brand’s Zero Five beer.
Webster added the bottled version had “immediately sold really well” and there had been “much interest” in the keg format.
In a post shared to LinkedIn on Friday 13 December, the CEO said: “We’re thrilled to announce the launch of our Alcohol-Free Jaipur.
“After the overwhelming success of Green Mountain AF, we knew we had to create an alcohol-free version of our flagship beer, Jaipur.
High standards
“Our brewers worked tirelessly to ensure it lives up to the high standards Jaipur is known for, and we couldn’t be happier with the results.
“Alcohol-Free Jaipur is available now in our online shop and will be making its way into the free trade very soon.”
In October, Thornbridge announced it planned to open its first London pub next year, The White Swan on the city’s Fetter Lane, in a joint venture with wholesaler and bar operator Pivovar.
Work is expected the begin on the £1m refit in January and the two-storey pub is then set to welcome customers around Easter.
