The company is celebrating ‘FC10: 10 Years of Joy,’- a year-long initiative marking 10 years since Flight Club started.
As part of Flight Club’s development, Red Engine has enlisted more than 200 people to throw 1m test darts, in order to perfect the social darts experience.
A decade later, the group has launched a competition inviting fans to submit their ideas for the brand’s seventh game.
The company has asked entrants' submissions to convey how to play, how to score and how to win.
Donkey Derby released in 2021, was the last game from Red Engine’s in house game studio.
Game development
Fans in the US, UK, and Australia can enter the new competition for game seven.
The eventual winner will have their decided concept developed by Red Engine’s own in-house game studio and will have their concept launched across all worldwide Flight Club venues.
They will also receive a VIP trip for themselves and three guests to either Flight Club Sydney, Chicago, Dublin or London. A destination they can choose, to see their game eventually made into a reality.
Red Engine digital director Ben Morris, said: “We’re incredibly excited to kick off this project and involve our loyal fans in the development of our next big game.”
“From the very beginning, we set out to bring groups of friends together and create unforgettable experiences.”
Red Engine was originally started after Steve Moore and Paul Barham witnessed two younger people getting excited over a game of darts in a Devon pub. This led to a plan to ultimately elevate the game, with plans of creating a social experience for new generations.
Brand expansion
Since its first venue opening in Shoreditch in London, 2015, the brand has then expanded to 14 different locations across the UK.
With the support of international partners, it has now reached the US and also Australia.
There are now a total of 24 Flight Club venues across the world. Red Engine also launched Electric Shuffle in 2019, which now offers eight venues across the UK and also the US.
The total number of Flight Club and Electric Shuffle venues globally now totals 326, throughout 2023, the companies system sales were over £100m, and up 40% compared with 2022.
Red Engine CEO and founder Steve Moore said, “Reaching this 10-year milestone is a truly special moment for us.”
“We’re immensely proud of the impact Flight Club has had on the hospitality industry and the unexpected, ridiculous, joy it has brought to so many people.”
