A new sea-front operation from experienced operators is set to open on the Hove sea-front this spring.

Babble, a new cafe, bar and kitchen concept from the teams behind Bison Beer and Vicarious Pubs, will be opening at Hove Beach Park later this year.

The team have taken the keys from Brighton & Hove council and work is now underway to create an exciting new venue on the sea-front.

The team said: “Babble will operate an all-day, high-quality food offering designed alongside an extensive and varied drinks menu. Fresh pastries in the morning paired with top quality coffee, a first-class English breakfast and dippy eggs served with chef’s special soldiers.

Seaside classics

“Expect seaside classics such as seafood Marie Rose, Bison Beer battered fish and chips, steamed mussels in SillyMoo cider and freshly shucked oysters washed down with a glass of Ditchling’s own Everflyht.

“Pizza for the kids and burgers for the fussy teenager; family lunch is truly covered. Daily specials will change with the seasons and see meat, fish and veggie handmade tacos on offer throughout the year.”

Local suppliers

The venue will also feature barbecues in the summer, with whole joints of meat and grilled vegetables from local suppliers as well.

Bison Beer was founded in Brighton in 2015 by co-founders Jack Cregan and Nick Vardy, and Vicarious Pubs, which runs Bar 42 in Haywards Heath, West Sussex, was co-founded by former Enterprise Inns director Kim Francis and owner of Sussex-based Everflyht vineyard Ben Ellis.
