Social Pub & Kitchen has added Guinness to its ‘bottomless brunch’ offer for the Six Nations as it predicts a surge in sales.

The pub chain estimated it could sell some 130,000 pints of the ‘black gold’ across its venues during the tournament, equivalent to an average of 8,700 pints per match.

On top of this, Social Pub & Kitchen added the serve to its ‘Icon’s Bottomless Brunch' offer, as well as Espresso Martinis, at its 114 venues until Monday 17 March.

The bottomless brunch deal also includes pizza, nachos and other food options.

Alongside the bottomless Guinness deal, the pub chain has also launched a Guinness burger.

Food and drink offerings

The pubco said it hoped to capitalise on the popularity of Guinness during the event, while providing a comprehensive dining experience.

Social Pub & Kitchen Head of marketing Stephen Cooper said the company was confident the offer would be popular.

What guests want

Cooper continued: “As a country of avid Guinness and rugby fans, we’re confident the Icon’s Brunch will be a hit across the UK - there’s nothing better than enjoying the Six Nations with a cold pint of Guinness and delicious food.

“Our bottomless brunches have always been hugely popular; we know iconic drinks like Guinness and Espresso Martini are what our guests want when watching the rugby.

“We’re happy to provide this as part of the ultimate Six Nations’ experience at 114 of our venues across the nation.”

Social Pub and Kitchen venues added it would also offer a range of low and no alcohol and soft drinks throughout its sites in a bid to encourage fans to drink responsibly during the games.

Participating sites offering the deals include the Albert Hotel in Liverpool, the Hope & Anchor Liverpool, Hyde Park Hotel Leeds, Penny Theatre Canterbury and The Bedford Southampton.
