WiFi insights platform Wireless Social has teamed up with Sky Business in a bid to boost online customer engagement and potentially find what makes customers tick.

Wireless Social, which was acquired by The Access Group in February 2024, has announced the partnership to deliver advanced guest WiFi portal services and connectivity support for hospitality, retail and leisure venues across the UK.

This collaboration combines Sky Business’s high-capacity network infrastructure with Wireless Social’s guest WiFi and data insights platform.

Sky Business’s network infrastructure, powered by its next-generation 100Gb network with 99.99% reliability uptime, hopes to provide businesses with the foundation needed to support Wireless Social’s guest WiFi and other business-critical services.

Personalised marketing

Wireless Social said it is capable of “enhancing the solutions with its expertise in customer engagement through personalised marketing campaigns and gamified login journeys”. Together, they aim to “simplify connectivity management while delivering a superior guest experience, offering an integrated, fully managed solution designed to meet evolving business needs”.

Wireless Social customers will gain access to Sky Business’s robust network capabilities and hardware, which will “enhance value, scalability and reliability for operations”. The business added the high guest opt-in rate to receive marketing communications of 72% means operators can best capture valuable marketing data that can help them better understand exactly what their guests want and when.

Similarly, Sky Business customers can integrate Wireless Social’s WiFi portal and data analytics platform, which Wireless Social said will unlock insights into guest behaviour to deliver personalised experiences and foster customer loyalty.

Key insights

Sky Business director of hospitality James Tweddle said: “Through our partnership with Wireless Social, we’re bringing businesses an innovative guest WiFi solution that will enable them to gain key insights into guest behaviour and preferences.

“This collaboration reflects our commitment to supporting businesses to create the best experience for their customers, so that they keep coming back.”

Wireless Social founder and CEO Julian Ross added: “By combining our WiFi portal and data capabilities with Sky’s reliable infrastructure, we’re providing operators with a powerful tool to enhance both their operations and the guest experience. It’s an exciting step forward for the industry.”
