Tyrrells has announced the launch of a new initiative offering pubs the chance to win a £5,000 prize fund.

KP Snacks-owned crisp brand, Tyrrells, has launched its ‘League of Tyrrellbly Good Taste’ initiative for the second year in a row.

Pubs and bars can register their business to become a “Tyrrellbly Tasteful Establishment” via a bespoke platform on the Tyrrells website.

Each outlet that signs up will be entered into a competition with the chance to win a year’s supply of Tyrrells crisps, worth more than £5,000.

Fantastic opportunity

KP Snacks out of home controller Sam Trabelsi said: “We’re delighted to bring back the Tyrrells incentive for a second year, providing pubs with a fantastic opportunity to highlight premium snacks, drive extra revenue, and boost profitability.

“Given the challenging circumstances of rising costs this year, it’s more important than ever to help pubs maximise every sales opportunity.

“Tyrrells is a much-loved, recognisable brand, and this initiative not only supports the licensed trade but also enhances the consumer experience by encouraging premium snacking choices in pubs.”

By signing up venues will also receive Tyrrells-branded PoS, including a wooden display unit, a window sticker and a clip strip.

Engaging consumers

The exclusive PoS kits have been designed to improve the visibility of bagged snacks, with 81% of consumers more likely to purchase a bagged snack if it is on display, according to a brand survey conducted by CGA in 2024.

According to the brand survey, 72% of consumers in pubs and bars were willing to pay extra for a more premium snack brand.

Designed to support the out of home channel, the initiative will run until Friday 31 October.
