Box in Nottingham is almost ecclesiastical to the eye and its dedication to fun and watching sport is shown by the seating along the side of the site being built in a stadium-like shape so everyone can see everything that’s going on.
A lot of work took place to get the building back to a usable state and provides wonder when looking in any direction.
On entry, there are electric darts oches to one side and shuffleboards to the other and then an impressive main area with the bar to one side gives a view to dozens of screens – often showing live sport.
Target clientele
The far end of the site shows off an incredible dome with light streaming in during the day and often live bands playing in the evening.
The target clientele is all ages but this a place where younger people can let their hair down and enjoy a party atmosphere alongside a great food and drinks offer.
Upstairs is home to two large meeting rooms that can be hired privately and that may be conferences and work meetings during the day but they double as karaoke rooms in the evening – there’s even a button that can be pressed in the hallway that plays disco music and lighting so everyone can find their funky selves.
Arc Inspirations has a Manahatta sister site nearby and staff are trained to be able to swap between sites if needed with role promotions being mostly internal and the fact almost all the staff from day one are still there shows recruitment and retention is strong.
Strong drinks offer
The food offer is good and is often co-ordinated so it matches the sport that is on offer whether that be the Superbowl, Six Nations rugby or big football competitions.
A 37-strong line-up of beer taps is matched by the popularity of the business’s inventive cocktails.
Box Nottingham is a bigger and better display of what the business has done before and nailed each time.
The design is fitted in a way that ensures the original building won’t be affected if it were changed and sustainability is an aspect well thought out too.
