The group said the new venue in Wales marked an “exciting new chapter” in its ongoing expansion.
Set to open its doors on Thursday 29 May, Piano Works promised to bring its “signature energy and singalong magic” to the Welsh capital.
Nightcap Group CEO and founder Sarah Willingham said: “We are all very excited to bring Piano Works to the wonderful people of Cardiff.
Favourite cities
“It’s always been one of my favourite cities and I know the Piano Works will find a good home there. I can’t wait to open the doors at the end of May. Guaranteed magic moments all day long”.
The new venue will be on the city’s St Mary’s Street, combining audience led song choices with live musical talent from Wales and beyond as well as late-night DJs into the early hours.
Piano Works currently operates two late-night live music spaces in London, with a flagship site in the heart of the West End, on Parker Street near Covent Garden. #
Stamp Entertainment, a subsidiary of Nightcap, entered into an asset purchase agreement to acquire certain assets of TDC Concepts, including The Piano Works, in February last year.
Exciting step forward
In June 2024, the group re-registered as a private company after deciding the business was being “undervalued” on the London Stock Exchange.
More recently, in February this year, Nightcap, which also operates the Cocktail Club, Barrio Familia and the Adventure Bar Group, acquired Brighton’s i360 tower.
It followed Brighton & Hove City Council’s decision to release the debt in support of the landmark’s future under Nightcap’s management.
Nightcap said the decision allowed for the continued operation of the attraction and represented an exciting step forward for the business.
