The London-based privately owned pub company runs 15 sites across the capital including the Lady Otterline in Bloomsbury, Chelsea gastro pub Lots Road and The Spencer Arms in Putney.
Laws joined Market Taverns in June 2024 as operations director having previously held senior operations positions at Youngs, Hippo Inns and Oakman Inns.
The role is a new one in the company and Laws will take on some wider responsibilities and work closely with the Board to develop the future strategy for the business.
Boosting sales
He will also be appointed as a director, and take on the statutory duties and responsibilities of that role as well as focussing on boosting sales and enhancing the customer journey.

Laws was operations manager at Young’s between 2023 and 2024. Prior to that he was operations director at Hippo Inns between October 2018 to January 2022.
Strengthening the Board
Laws worked at Oakman Inns & Restaurant between August 2015 to October 2018 as area manager and cluster manager.
In June 2024 Suzanne Baker for commercial director at Stonegate was appointment as non-executive director.
She has an impressive track record in hospitality with more than 35 years’ experience at the forefront of hospitality retailing.
The multiple operator further strengthened its Board with the appointment of consumer analyst Nigel Parsons. Parson brings a wealth of expertise with his combination of business and City experience.
