Great British Pub Awards deadline extended to May 6 (Restaurant)

Entries for the 2025 Great British Pub Awards (GBPA) will close later today (Tuesday May 6).

The Great British Pub Awards have been running for more than three decades and recognise excellence across the pub sector, from pubs that do a great job with food, to the best country pubs and town operations.

Ed Bedington, editor of The Morning Advertiser (The MA), which runs the awards, said: “We appreciate that running a pub doesn’t leave a lot of room for much else, so a little extra time to sharpen up your entry hopefully helps.

“These awards see some of the best businesses in the UK go head to head to see which comes out on top. This competition has recognised some amazing businesses over the years, and has provided a real shot in the arm for our winners as well, with some seeing footfall increase by more than 50%.

“So with challenging times at the moment, it’s never been more important to nail your colours to the mast and get yourselves on the radar far and wide. Get your entries in, and I’d like to wish you all the very best of luck.”

The awards will be taking place at the First Direct Arena in Leeds on Wednesday 24 September for a celebration of epic proportions.
