Greene King has expanded its partnerships within its Value for Venues support hub, which the business estimated could help independent outlets save £5,000 per year.

The wholesale supply service, exclusively available for the free trade, was originally launched by Greene King and Belhaven breweries in 2023.

Now, the support package has been expanded to support customers with more exclusive offers and savings, which Greene King claimed could help pubs save more than £5,000 per year.

Immense benefits

So far, the Value for Venues platform has helped operators save thousands on garden furniture and solar panels, according to Greene King.

West Bridgeford Conservative Club secretary Tracy Shepley said: “Moving to Greene King’s Value for Venues service has helped us transform the club and they have helped us revamp our range and appeal to a much wider audience, particularly younger drinkers.

“The benefits have been immense, and more recently, Greene King helped us to secure a new deal with WorldPay, which has essentially halved our terminal rental, and it now saves us 1% on every single transaction.”

Positive impact

The value hub includes a catalogue of products, logistics support, business management, and financial support, with more than 15 partner suppliers currently offering discounted services to help operators boost footfall, dwell time and save money.

Scottish free trade venues can also benefit from the same service tailored from Belhaven Brewery, in Dunbar, which has been a part of Greene King since 2005.

Value for Venue commercial manager Aaron Van Tonder added: “We’ve seen brilliant results in the last two years since we launched Value for Venues, and the rollout of our Value Hub is a great support to our free trade outlets in saving costs and accessing services that can push their business further.

“Running a venue is incredibly difficult right now, and we are here to support and partner with free trade businesses to help them survive and also thrive. This year we have already saved six figures in total for our customers which is really positive.”
