Babble opens its doors from sun-up to sundown, serving an all-day menu that starts with fresh breakfasts and lazy brunches before flowing into BBQs on the terrace and evening plates inside.
A carefully curated drinks list showcases the operations strong focus on celebrating regional talents, with locally brewed craft beers and sparkling Sussex wines on the menu.
The business has been created by a group of local entrepreneurs, including Bison Beer’s Jack Cregan and Nick Vardy, Ben Ellis owner of Everflyht Vineyard and Ex Enterprise Inns MD and co-founder of the Vicarious Pub Company, Kim Francis.
Building community
The business has also welcomed the arrival of celebrated chef Sam Lambert, whose CV includes some of the best restaurants in Brighton, such as Due South, 64 Degrees and Murmur.
A takeaway operation downstairs, the Cabin, has been expanded, building on its initial coffee and juice offering to now include draught beers, wines and spritzes alongside freshly baked pastries and snacks from local favourites Bayon and Caccia & Tails.
Upstairs, the site’s triple-aspect sea views from the east, south and west terraces take centre stage while weekends will see local DJs take over the crow’s nest.
Babble is focused on building community through a series of fitness clubs featuring yoga and pilates sessions on the terrace, with sports groups gathering to run, hike and play padel –offering a variety of ways for people to meet and connect.
New home
This is supported by a range of healthy eat options, starting with the popular Youjuice Sunday Brunch – the first of many exciting local collaborations to come.
With more than £1m invested in its new home creating 150 covers inside and a further 250+ across the three decks, Babble is proud to be part of the £15 million transformation of Hove Beach Park – now home to a wide range of amazing facilities including tennis, padel, bowls, biking and skateparks, with sand sports arriving soon thanks to Yellowave joining the list of independent operators at the site.
Babble’s opening marks the completion of the Hove Beach Park project - the first public park in the city for over 100 years.
