If pub bosses thought they were going to miss out on a big football tournament this summer – they can think again.

Licensees will be able to screen the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 on DAZN at no extra cost.

Sites screening sport with a TNT Sports Business subscription can begin showing the tournament on Saturday 14 June and attract fans of clubs including Manchester City, Paris Saint-Germain, Chelsea, Bayern Munich and Real Madrid.

The deal between TNT Sports and DAZN will see the inaugural summer competition – which has 32 teams from across the world taking part at 12 stadiums across the US – last for an entire month shortly after all European domestic seasons have ended.

More value

Licensees can look forward to showing the opening game between Egyptian club Al Ahly and David Beckham-owned Inter Miami. Chelsea’s first game will be on Monday 16 June at 8pm with Manchester City kicking off against Wydad AC on Wednesday 18 June at 5pm.

Other fixtures to help improve footfall, dwell time and revenue include Brazilian side Flamengo v Chelsea on Friday 20 June at 7pm and Juventus v Manchester City on Thursday 26 June at 8pm, with the final match taking place on Sunday 13 July at 8pm.

TNT Sports vice president commercial premises Alasdair Collis said: “We are always looking at ways in which we can provide more value for our customers.

No extra cost

“Live football is the biggest driver of additional footfall for our sport customers and the FIFA Club World Cup is a hugely exciting global football tournament that will enable our customers to continue to show top-flight club football, both midweek and at weekends, after the end of the Premier League season, at perfect times for pubs on those long summer evenings.

“We’re delighted to be working with DAZN to bring this new and additional live football to our customers exclusively for no extra cost.”

DAZN CEO of growth markets Pete Oliver said “After signing a landmark partnership with FIFA in December to broadcast all 63 games of the Club World Cup 2025 globally, we wanted to work with partners who we knew would increase audience engagement and reach.

“This tournament, like any global summer competition, will be watched by millions across pubs and clubs in the UK and we are pleased to partner with TNT Sports to offer a large football-centric customer-base all of this summer’s action.”
