The Fleur de Lys, in Cranborne, will be the group’s 10th site and 8th pub with rooms, and is set to open its doors later this year in July.
Renovation work is currently underway on the site, with Chickpea investing over £250,000 into the venue, which has been closed for the last 6 months.
The investment will see the company refresh the internal layout to create 80 covers and fit out 9 “luxuriously” appointed bedrooms” upstairs, available for £120 a night.
An additional 100 covers are being created in a walled garden to the rear, and a private dining room will provide space for a further 12 guests.
The main bar will boast exposed beams, an open fire and plenty of comfortable banquette
seating and cosy corners.
As with Chickpea’s other sites, the food and drink offer will reflect the local area with suppliers drawn from across the South West and Dorset.
Owned and run by brother and sister, Ethan and Jordan Davids, along with their friend, Tommy Tullis Chickpea Group is a young, vibrant and growing business.
Ethan Davids, co-founder, said: “We are so excited to be opening our first pub with rooms in Dorset. The Fleur de Lys is a lovely boozer in a pretty and thriving village and we’re very pleased to be re-opening it for the community and for visitors from further afield.
“It offers everything we look for in a Chickpea country pub - exposed beams, low ceilings, a number of fireplaces and quintessentially british charm.”
