Kingfisher releases new Sagres beer

Drinks company Kingfisher has announced the launch of a new beer from Portuguese brand Sagres Sol & Mar (4% ABV).
Brewed with a subtle touch of sea salt from the Portuguese coast, the new beer has been described as crisp with a fresh, refreshing and zesty taste.
Located on the far Western edge of the Algarve, a popular destination for British tourists, Sagres is made in its homeland before being exported around the world.
Kingfisher Drinks senior brand manager Andy Sunnucks said: “We know many drinkers nowadays are looking for lower ABV, flavour forward options with authenticity and craft cues, and Sagres Sol & Mar delivers on all three.
“Sol & Mar isn’t just inspired by Portugal, it’s brewed there, and the beer’s flavour, ingredients, and laid-back attitude reflect the lifestyle and taste of the Portuguese coast.
“It feels like a natural addition to the Sagres range following the main brand’s success and we’re confident the lower ABV will align well with current consumer demands.”
The new product will be available to pubs from August onwards in cases of 24 x 330ml cans, with an RRP of £4.45 per can.
