First to open will be Corsham House in February, which will open as a modern British brasserie with 94 covers and 14 bedrooms.
This will be followed by 17th century pub the King’s Arms in March 2026, located in the village of Monkton Farleigh and marking Beckford’s first pub opening since 2020.
Finally, 16th century pub Teffont House near Nadder Valley, will open in April 2026 with 17 bedrooms.
Pivotal moment
The West Country-based pub group said the investments marked a “pivotal moment of expansion and diversification” for the business.
Founded in 2009 by Dan Brod, Charlie Luxton and Matt Greenless, the group has grown from their original site, Top 50 Gastropub the Beckford Arms in Fonthill Gifford, to their most recent, the Bath Arms in Horningsham, taking the total number of sites currently in its portfolio to seven.
Alongside the pubs, Beckford also run two restaurants, the Beckford Bottle Shop in Bath, which has a Michelin Bib Gourmand, and the Beckford Canteen, both of which will serve as inspiration for the three new pubs.
Home from home
On the openings, Brod said: “I think anyone in a country village knows their local pub is a home from home - somewhere familiar and safe with comforting food and free from washing up.
“There is much doom and gloom in UK hospitality at the moment but we are not moaning; we want to be doing more of what we and our staff do well, looking after our guests with great experiences at reasonable prices.
“It is an ambitious plan, but we are delighted to be defying the norm, crazy or not, opening three sites in three months and creating up to 100 new hospitality jobs in the process.”
