Celebrating success: GBPA 2025 winners will be revealed later today (Restaurant)

The winners of the Great British Pub Awards (GBPA) will be unveiled in a glittering ceremony later today.

Held at the First Direct Bank Arena in Leeds city centre, the awards, organised by The Morning Advertiser (The MA) and now in their 26th year, celebrate the best in business.

This year’s awards will be hosted by award-winning comedian and actor Seann Walsh. Watch the live stream of the event from 9:30pm here.

Hundreds of pubs entered the competition, before expert judges whittled it down across two rounds of judging with on-the-road site visits having taken place during the summer.

Incredible talent

Last year saw the Tollemache Arms in Harrington, Northamptonshire, presented with the overall Great British Pub of the Year title having been initially named Best Country Pub earlier in the night.

Other category winners last year included Heston Blumenthal-owned pub the Hinds Head in Bray, Berkshire, which took the title of Best Pub for Food while fellow Berkshire pub the Swan in Windsor was named Best Community Pub.

The Best Sustainable Pub award was presented to the Pig’s Head in Clapham, south-west London, while Staffordshire’s Tamworth Tap took the award for Best Pub for Beer and Leeds pub the Myrtle Tavern was crowned Best Pub Garden.

Celebrate success

MA editor Ed Bedington said: “The Great British Pub Awards is always a highlight in the industry calendar, shining a light on the incredible talent, dedication and innovation within the pub sector.

“It’s a chance to come together, celebrate success, and recognise the hard work of some of the very best pubs and people in the business. We can’t wait to welcome everyone and raise a glass to this year’s winners.”

The awards are kindly sponsored by Arla Pro, Coca-Cola Europacific Partners, Admiral, Diageo, Greene King, Molson Coors, Star Pubs, Stonegate, Marstons, SIBA and Punch Pubs & Co.
