Abé joined the site, which is part of the Public House Group and is currently number 11 on the Estrella Damm Top 50 Gastropubs list, last spring as head of food.
A post on the chef’s Instagram said: “So some new year news, today is my last day at the Bull.
“Moving to the Cotswolds was never on my bingo card but I must admit, it’s been a brilliant year and I’ve made so many new friends, learned so much about produce and had the pleasure of working with some wonderful people.
“Something new and very exciting is coming and it’s close. I can’t wait to share it with you!”
New and exciting
She joined the pub as head of food in April, leading the kitchen team and collaborating with nearby Buern Farms, helping ensure seasonal ingredients were used in the best way in dishes.
At the time she joined the Cotswolds pub, Abé said: “I am absolutely thrilled to be joining the Bull in Charlbury.
“It feels like a homecoming for me - returning to my roots and getting to cook proper British pub grub once again.
“I can’t wait to work with all the amazing produce from the farm. I’m so excited to get back to these incredible British ingredients and get cracking.”
Previous experience
Prior to the Bull, Abé was at The Pem at the Conrad London St James hotel, where she led the project as a consultant alongside being responsible for the Blue Boar pub, The Hedgerow and The Orchard Room.
Previously, the chef, who is originally from Mansfield, she was also head chef at the Harwood Arms in Fulham, west London for a number of years.
Furthermore, 2020 saw Abé first appear on Great British Menu, which she appeared on again in 2022 and 2025.
Her next role is yet to be announced.
