With earlier occasions such as brunch becoming increasingly popular in pubs, serves like Brunch Punch are well positioned to help operators capitalise on trade, Red Star Brands brand manager Bex Paden told The Morning Advertiser (The MA).
“Brunch Punch brings something new and vibrant to menus, helping unlock revenue potential. At 18% ABV, the moderate strength is on trend and encourages repeat purchase”, Paden continued.
Colourful and delicious
“Sunshine Punch is a new addition to the UK pub sector, and we expect it to be the drink on everyone’s lips once the warmer weather kicks in.”
The brand manager advised operators to signpost the cocktail with chalk boards or offer special prices for sharing jugs and multiple glasses to drive impulse purchases.
“This recipe is easy to make, bright, colourful and delicious. It makes a great addition to bottomless brunches, leisurely lunches and summery gatherings – especially if we’re having a spell of good weather" Paden added.
“The colours are eye-catching with buckets of visual appeal for social media and group chat posting. Flavour-wise, the zesty orange and citrus notes, balanced with a light creamy texture, blend perfectly with the orange juice and splash of sharp cranberry.”
Fresh twist
The serve can also be easily adapted for single serves or pitchers. Red Star Brands advised operators to offer individual cocktails for around £6.95 and sharing jugs for £22.95.
In addition, the vodka can also be swapped for Tequila, served with sliced fresh chilli, to spice things up. Sunshine Punch can also be used in a Spicy Marg cocktail for a creamy twist.
Once opened, Sunshine Punch keeps for six months when stored on the back bar away from direct sunlight or significant fluctuations in temperature.
Sunshine Punch, made from a blend of rum, cream and citrus flavours, is distributed by Red Star Brands and is available in packs of 6x70cl bottles for £15 per bottle (excl. VAT). It can be enjoyed neat over ice, as a mixer or in cocktails.
Ingredients (single serve):
- 50ml Sunshine Punch
- 25ml vodka
- Top with orange juice
- Splash of cranberry juice
Ingredients (Four drink pitcher serve):
- 200ml Sunshine Punch
- 100ml vodka
- Top with orange juice
- Splash of cranberry juice
Method:
- Half fill tumbler glass or pitcher with cubed ice
- Add Sunshine Punch, vodka, orange juice and stir
- Add splash of cranberry juice to taste
- Garnish with orange slices
