There is now just 100 days until 65 lycra-clad hospitality warriors will settle into their saddles to raise huge sums for the Licensed Trade Charity and Only a Pavement Away.
This year sees the riders taking on more than 270kms across Norfolk, riding more than 55 miles a day, from Norwich to Thetford, from Thetford to King’s Lynn, and King’s Lynn back to Norwich between the 4th and 6th of June.
Last year the ride raised more than £110,000 for the two charities and organiser, Steve Alton, CEO of the BII, is hoping to beat that record.
“We recognise that things are quite tough in the industry, but these charities do such great work, they’re well worth supporting. If we can get over the £100k mark that would be great, and even better if we can beat last year’s total."
Ed Bedington, editor of the MA caught up with Steve, Chris Welham of the LTC and Greg Mangham from OAPA to find out what the support means. Watch above.
